The I Landed In Johnstown Meteorite Centennial Committee invites you to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event to celebrate the famous and rare Johnstown Meteorite’s 100th birthday this summer.

The event will feature the dedication of a historical marker to be placed near the site where the meteorite landed at the cemetery during a funeral. Other features will include vendors to show off and sell their rocks, gems, fossils, meteorites, jewelry, and related products; an educational program with guest speakers – the scientist who studied the Johnstown Meteorite for most of his career, a NASA astronaut, and a scientist with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. There will be a student art show, kids’ activities, and more. The grand finale will be Johnstown’s first live drone show overhead at dusk.
