A Day of Community and Crafting

Come join us at our annual Quilt & Craft Fair! Whether you’re a vendor, a crafter, a quilter, or a fan of all 3 – our fair has something for you!

Event Details

Ah-h-h-h-some, Autumn!

As the temperatures begin to cool and the leaves turn and start to fall, the JHS and Persian Pickle Piecers quilt group have once again joined forces to stage this 20-year tradition of the Stitches in Time – Quilt & Craft Fair.

This year’s featured quilter honor goes to Mary Janes of Johnstown. She’ll be front and center against a backdrop of her favorite quilts. Come and see Mary’s quilts and plenty of others, too.

New this year – JHS volunteers spent time over the winter building all new quilt racks. The racks are designed in an “X” that allows guests to step into four separate sections on each rack to view quilted creations rather than the quilts hung in straight rows.

The fair is also a great way to kick off your holiday gift shopping with plenty of local crafters on hand with unique treasures. There will also be baked goods, a large variety of silent auction items, a food truck, and more.

Admission is still only $5.00, or $3.00 for current paid JHS members. Children 12 and under are free, but must accompany an adult.

If you have questions, please call 970.587.0278 or email JHSCOmuseum@gmail.com.

It’s that time of year again – the Johnstown Historical Society’s annual Stitches in Time –
Quilt & Craft Fair will be held Saturday September 30, 2023, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
Please drop off the quilts that you want to display on September 29 th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. I’ve
attached the quilt submittal application for your use.
Quilts will then need to be picked up on
September 30th, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Last year the public loved how we displayed the fabric exchange Halloween Witches Table
Runner – they enjoyed seeing the same pattern being made with different fabrics. Let’s display
the Scarecrow Table Runner this year. If you made one and want to display it, please let me
know – these table runners won’t be subject to the $5 submission fee.
Also, we will need volunteers both September 29th and September 30th to accept the quilts
and then return the quilts to owners. We will also need several volunteers monitoring the quilt
area on the 30th, I’ve attached a Volunteer Schedule for review of different time slots and
functions – please let me know if you can help in any of these areas.
