For over 120 years, The Johnstown Breeze has captured the heart and history of our town. Now, the Johnstown Historical Society, in partnership with The Breeze and the Colorado Historic Newspaper Collection (CHNC), is working to digitize the full archive. This project will ensure that the Town of Johnstown’s stories, milestones, and memories are fully preserved in a free online searchable database for future generations to access.

For BBQ Day we like to combine classic community fun with moments that highlight our shared history. It’s a relaxed, welcoming celebration where longtime supporters and new friends alike can come together. As we look ahead, BBQ Day also offers an opportunity to reflect on where we’re going—continuing traditions that connect our past, present, and future.

The 2026 Cemetery Crawl will be an incredible one-of-a-kind event. Attendees will meet Johnstown residents both past and present in a historically haunting cemetery tour of the Johnstown Cemetery. It’s the perfect way to experience Johnstown’s vibrant history and the remarkable figures who helped shape it.

Each year, our Holiday Open House features a unique theme that helps shape the experience and adds a special touch to the season. It’s the most wonderful time of the year to spend with family, friends, and community. We hope you’ll join us as we continue this growing tradition together.
