The 2025 Johnstown BBQ Day was held on June 7, 2025.
We offered several opportunities to learn more about the history of Johnstown. We hope to see you there again next year.
Museum Tours
9am – 11am
Location: 701 Charlotte Street

The Historic Parish House and Museum provided tours of the former home of the Harvey and Mary Parish family, as well as our exciting exhibits…including the famous meteorite crash of 1924! The house is only accessible by a flight of stairs, but the Visitor’s Center features a short film of the home’s interior and collections for those who cannot take the stairs.
Location: Wagon loaded at intersection of Columbine & Charlotte
Cost: FREE!
Participants hitched rides in a horse-drawn wagon for a tour of Old Town Johnstown to learn more about the historic homes and buildings along Charlotte Street. The wagon began giving tours starting at 11:30am. If a wagon ride wasn’t your thing, you could venture out on your own to do our historical walking tour. More information on that can be found here.
We had a booth at Parish Park where we debuted our brand new post card sets! Also available were the treasured Letford Elementary Bricks and Meteorite Centennial Commemorative Coins. They are wonderful souvenirs of the area, as well as precious keepsakes of our local Johnstown heritage. See more information about these items below.
