Join Us for Our Annual Signature Events

Each year, the Johnstown Historical Society hosts a series of beloved community events that honor our town’s history, traditions, and the people who shaped it. These gatherings are opportunities to come together, celebrate our shared heritage, and create new memories in the heart of historic Johnstown.

BBQ Day

BBQ Day kicks off the summer with mouthwatering food, live music, and the unmistakable warmth of hometown spirit. This festive gathering brings together neighbors, friends, and visitors to celebrate community and explore local history under the summer sun.

We always hold BBQ Day the first Saturday in June.

Cemetery Crawl

The Cemetery Crawl offers a guided tour through Johnstown’s historic cemetery, where costumed interpreters share the stories of notable figures and forgotten voices from our past. It’s a unique and engaging way to experience local history.

We always hold the Cemetery Crawl the last Saturday in October.
