Please join us as we give those faint whispers a voice in a spirited stroll through the enchanted setting of the Johnstown Cemetery.

History With A Haunting Twist

In this one-of-a-kind spooktacular guided walking tour among the colorful fall leaves, attendees will pause at the gravestones of local legends while costumed characters share the forgotten stories, fascinating lives, and sometimes eerie tales of those who once walked the streets of Johnstown. It’s an immersive historical experience where we honor the past by uncovering the stories beneath our feet. Whether you’re a longtime Johnstown resident or simply curious about the community’s past, you don’t want to miss this.

Cemetery Crawl Details

Planning to join us for the crawl? Here are a few helpful details to know before you arrive.

Register : Registration is now closed until October 2026. In order to ensure an enjoyable and engaging experience, and due to the event’s popularity, each tour has a guest limit. Therefore, make sure to secure your spot early, as they fill up quickly.

Attire : Costumes are welcome! However, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing warmer items (jacket, gloves, hat) just in case. The cemetery is well-shaded, so it can be a bit chilly in late October.

Restrooms : Portable restrooms will be available on-site for attendees.

Parking : Attendants will direct you to the event parking inside the cemetery along the northern edge of the grounds. Please follow any signage and our volunteers’ instructions to ensure smooth and safe parking for all attendees.

Check-In : Please check-in at the JHS table located just inside the cemetery entrance. Here you can also make a donation and browse our Commemorative Keepsakes.

Accessibility : Most of the tour stops are accessible and follow along the cemetery roadways; however, some stops are within the grassy areas, yet are navigable for guests with mobility aids.
