Our Legacy Giving Milestones honor those whose generous support accumulates over time to make a lasting impact on our mission. Giving builds year after year through donations and sponsorships. Legacy supporters receive growing acknowledgement for their continued commitment to preserving history for future generations.

While we have many sponsorship options available, these top initiatives offer a starting point into the types of ways your support can make a meaningful difference. However, we fully welcome the opportunity to collaborate on other sponsorship ideas that may best reflect a sponsor’s goals and vision.
Digitization of The Johnstown Breeze Newspaper
A local newspaper is the beating heart of its community, and the Johnstown Breeze is no exception. It has been capturing our community’s history week-by-week for more than 120 years. With your support, the JHS is working with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC) to make this historic record accessible online for free – a worthy primary for historians, writers, researchers, students and anyone else who wants to learn about Johnstown’s past.

Parish Family Heirloom : Arts & Crafts Needlepoint Chair
This late 1800s to early 1900s-era chair belonged to Harvey and Mary Parish. It may have been part of a dining room set, potentially used in the Parish’s homestead on their farm before they built the Parish House in 1914. It was passed down and reupholstered many years later by their daughter-in-law, Marie Parish. This piece is significant to our Collections as one of the few remaining possessions of Johnstown’s founding family. We selected this local treasure for conservation by a professional historic textiles conservator. Sponsoring its restoration gives you a unique opportunity to preserve a tangible piece of local history while being recognized for supporting our mission to safeguard treasured artifacts.

Cora Dilley Portrait Frame
This frame held a portrait of Reverend Cora May (Elwell) Dilley that hung in the original Dilley Chapel at Elwell where she preached on Sundays before Johnstown was founded. Reverend Dilley died in 1886. Sponsoring its repair and conservation ensures this piece of our shared history is protected and allows guests at the Parish House to continue to connect with the people who shaped our community.
