Each year, we partner with the Glenn A. Jones, M.D. Memorial Library to share a meaningful chapter of our community’s history through a special pop-up exhibit that invites visitors to discover, reflect, and connect with our local heritage. These annual displays highlight the people, places, and milestones that have shaped our community, offering an engaging experience for residents and visitors of all ages.

July 2026 Pop-Up Exhibit

This year’s exhibit will commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the opening of Johnstown’s Great Western Sugar factory, exploring its lasting influence on our region’s economy, agriculture, and the families whose lives were intertwined with the sugar beet industry.

The exhibit will also spotlight our ongoing initiatives celebrating two historic milestones: America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary. These initiatives help our community discover how our local history connects to these landmark celebrations and the broader story of our nation and state.
